Our Origins
The Birth of the Kingdom
Established in 1966, the Kingdom of the West is the birthplace of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA). As the first Kingdom, it set the foundation for a global community dedicated to the study and re-creation of medieval history. Our Kingdom has a storied past filled with chivalry, arts, and combat, making it a cornerstone of the SCA.
