Further Event Information:    O’er fields and mountains, forests and streams … the “Wild Hunt” awaits you! Will your arrow find its mark on the archery range, where the black bears roam? Archers who hit non-vital targets will make the bears angry and lose points! Will the hunter (spear wielder) or bear (dual daggers) prevail when the bear hunt is near-at-hand? We welcome Arts & Sciences entries celebrating, “The Wild Hunt, in any mode.” Wooden Spoon competition to feature wild-harvested ingredients. Sharp-eyed foragers and trackers of all ages will enjoy our mystery game! Plenty of room for all and Gold Key available for Newcomers at this FREE event. Please bring food (with ingredients list) and nonalcoholic beverages to share for our afternoon feast, where bardic entertainment (especially songs, poems, and stories of “The Wild Hunt”) will be honored.

Written Directions to Site:   As you drive South on the Sterling Highway from Anchorage, drive through the city of Soldotna and turn right on Kalifornsky Beach (aka K-Beach) Road at the last stoplight in Soldotna. Go 2.52 miles until you see the large blue and grey church on your left. We will be located at the far right-hand side as you are facing the church from the parking lot (look for the yellow-and-black banner).

Terrain Description:   There is a gravel parking lot, wheel-chair-accessible ramp to a large indoor space, and a grassy lawn near a paved, covered patio area where the archery range will be.

Insects or wild animals to be aware of on/ near site:   there may be a few mosquitos (depending on weather).

Amenities on Site:   Potable Water, Shopping near by, Modern Lighting: Such as Street/ Walkway lights, Picnic Areas/ Tables,  While there are places nearby someone could walk a pet, the site is not pet friendly.
